Twitter Update Changes

By Snap Agency October 30, 2013

If you haven’t noticed, Twitter has gotten a makeover and it looks similar to Facebook’s newsfeed.

The new update has allowed user’s pictures and Vine videos to be displayed without having to open a separate link. A user’s feed used to be clean and simple, but it will now be filled with various images. When Twitter announced the redesign, the update was directed to improve the user experience.

However, it has become apparent that these new updates will also greatly benefit advertisers and will make Twitter ads more desirable because users will see the image immediately. Previously, Twitter only charged advertisers if a user engaged with the post by retweeting it or favoriting the post. Since an ad takes up much more space on a user’s timeline, the odds that they will engage with the post are greatly higher. This will create more revenue for Twitter and will increase engagement for brands.

What do you think about the new Twitter update? Do you like it?
